Now, in less than 17 minutes, you can learn
the basics
of a new skill that makes developing products, beating information
overload and getting more control of your life EASIER THAN YOU COULD
IMAGINE .....and you won't be surprised to know that some of the most
successful
internet
marketers
like Yanik Silver, Frank Kern and
Jeff Walker are already in on the secret.
(What's more, you can do it with an
easy-to-learn
and
easy-to-use FREE software program.)
For so many people, internet marketing is about overload. Too many things to do, too many things to learn, too many opportunities to chase after, too many ideas to implement and too many challenges to overcome.
And all that overload makes you feel tired and worn out as well as less productive and less effective in what you achieve...
Which means that ...
- you end up developing fewer products
- you don't set up as many websites as you want
- you feel you're on an endless treadmill
- you don't feel you're making any progress towards your goals.
Yet there are many people who don't get overwhelmed and who manage to achieve the lifestyle they desire by taking action and getting results.
And many of them use a specific skill to keep focused, maximise their productivity and get things done.
You could call it their secret weapon.
And that skill is called mind mapping........
What is a Mind Map?

A mind map consists of:
- a central topic (an activity, goal or problem you want to solve)
- main topics (as many as you like)
- sub-topics (as many as you like on as many levels as you like, so you can have sub-topics, sub-sub-topics, sub-sub-sub-topics and so on.... I'm sure you get the picture!)
- notes (you can store as much text as you want in the notes area on any main topic or sub-topic).
And that's all...........
"It Sounds Pretty Simple So What
Makes Mind Mapping So Special?"
You may well be wondering to yourself why something that seems so basic can have such powerful benefits. And that's a very sensible question.
The reason that mind mapping delivers such extraordinary value to its users is because of three special characteristics.
- Structure.
- Speed and flexibility.
- Huge capacity for information storage.
1. Structure.
Everything in life has a structure - everything can be divided up into what is most important and what is less important.
And everything has a place in relation to other categories.
Now that probably sounds a bit too theoretical, if not gobbledygook. So let's look at what that means in practice......
Being clear about structure means that:
- you can identify what's important and what's not important, so that you can focus on what will bring you the best returns
- you can be clearer in your thinking so that you can produce better work that will be more valuable to your customers. If you're clear about the structure of something, then you can educate your customers more effectively and help them get better results
- you can feel less confused and disorganised - that's because confusion and disorganisation can almost be defined as a lack of structure
- you can become more creative and innovative because understanding the structure of something means that you can often identify relationships between items that everyone else is missing.
And the key point about mind mapping is that it forces you to get clear about the structure of what you are focusing on.
That's because, as you will have seen from the example map above, mind mapping makes you put things into structures - you can only add items to a map once you have decided where in the structure they belong.
So that means that mind mapping can:
- help you to focus on what's most important
- improve the clarity of your thought
- help reduce confusion and disorganisation
- improve your creativity and ability to innovate.
2. Speed and flexibility.
Any project or activity involves change. You get new ideas, new opportunities arise, circumstances change or you start looking at things in a new way.
If you're using paper or a word processing document, that's a problem. When you have to cross something out or move some text from one area to another, everything can end up looking messy or disorganised.
It's also time-consuming and frustrating because things don't move as fast as you want them to. That just slows you down leading to reduced productivity.
However, being able to re-arrange topics and sub-topics so quickly means that mind mapping software helps you to work at a speed that's closer to the speed of your brain. That means much less friction between what you what to achieve and what you can achieve.....
.... with the result that you can be more productive and more creative.
3. Huge capacity for information storage.
As I'm sure you find, almost every good project is very complex - there are always lots of things to remember and lots of things to include. So, if you're using a piece of paper or a word processing document, it's no wonder you end up feeling confused.... because it can be hard and time-consuming to navigate around pieces of paper or a word processing document.
One of the most useful features of mind mapping software is the expand and contract function which allows you to hide the areas you are not working on.
That makes it easier
to focus on your key current areas but also to quickly access
hidden areas when your focus changes.
So you can develop mind maps with huge amounts of information but still keep them in a workable format.
No Pain, No Gain?
"No pain, no gain". You must have heard that expression. But the great thing is that, with mind mapping, it doesn't apply.
It's actually more like "little pain, huge gain".
Because it's such an easy skill to learn, it's "little pain". But because it's so useful in so many areas, it's also "huge gain".
And I can't think of any other skill that is like this. Certainly not copywriting, designing websites or developing products - all of which take days, if not weeks, to master.
Instead it will take you minutes to get to grips with the basics of mind mapping and then less than an hour to become confident with each of the more advanced strategies. (Of course, the more you use it, the more uses you will find for it and the better you will be able to tailor it to your exact way of working.)
But don't take just my word for the opportunities that mind mapping can open up for you because there are many very successful people who use mind mapping.
Who are the Successful Mind Mapping
Internet Marketers?
Below are the names of some of the internet marketers who use mind mapping (and I am sure there are many others I haven't heard of yet).

Mind Mapping and Me
When I first came across mind mapping, I couldn't really see the point of it. I read a book called 'Use Your Head' by Tony Buzan, the inventor of mind mapping, when I was still at school.
It looked interesting but it all seemed alot of work.
Then, in the 1990's, I was writing an article on emotional intelligence. I thought I'd try out mind mapping again so I could note down the key points of Daniel Goleman's book 'Emotional Intelligence'.
And what I found was that mind mapping helped me not just get a clear grasp of the most important concepts - but also to be able to communicate my understanding with a great deal of clarity.
So much so that the article was published in a national magazine and one reader congratulated me because he thought the article was "splendidly lucid"!
But it was still a big hassle writing maps by hand - which meant that mind mapping could never become an everyday activity for me......
.....until April 2000, when I bought my first mind mapping software program. The software meant that I could create and amend mind maps on my computer very quickly - so at last it made sense to use them widely.
Since then, I haven't looked back - and now I really couldn't imagine working on any project without mind mapping it.
It really is that central to my business life. And I use it in lots of other ways as well.
So I decided to develop Mind Mapping Power to put the power of mind mapping into the hands of as many people as possible.
My goal is to make mind mapping as simple as possible so no sane person has any excuse not to try it out.
So here's what's in the product.
What You Get with the Product
The product has been carefully designed to help you with the FOUR hurdles that might stop you from becoming a successful mind mapper.
They are:
- not having enough time
- not understanding what mind mapping is and why it's important
- not knowing which mind mapping software program to use and how to use it
- not knowing how to use mind mapping in real life.
QUICKSTART
GUIDE: in this under 17-minute video, you'll be given an
overview to mind mapping, a recommendation for a FREE software program
to use, basic instructions about how to use the program and how to
use mind mapping in practice.
Of course, the quickstart guide can't be comprehensive, so the other three sections will be able to provide you with more detail.
GUIDE
TO MIND MAPPING AND WHY IT'S IMPORTANT: you need to be clear
about mind mapping and excited about its potential of mind mapping before
you're going to be motivated to progress further with it.
So this section consists of a 15 minute video that clearly shows you what mind mapping is and all the benefits it can bring you.
GUIDE
TO CHOOSING A MIND MAPPING SOFTWARE PROGRAM WITH TUTORIALS:
did you realise that there are probably over 30 different mind mapping
software programs, all of which have different features and different
levels of complexity?
Too much choice often leads to not making any decision at all - so, to help you get mind mapping quickly, I recommend 2 programs for you to choose from.
They both have all the features you need. One of them is free - and the other has a free 30-day trial.
For the first video of this section, I'll tell you the issues you need to consider when choosing your program - and then give you the pros and cons for both programs and the links to download them.
(If you want to search further afield for your software, you also get a pdf with links to some of the other mind mapping programs. I also recommend a free web mind mapping service if you want to share your mind maps online with partners or colleagues.)
I've also provided short tutorial videos for each of the programs so, once you've chosen which program to download, you can then start learning how to use it.
Of course, you don't need to learn all the different features the programs have. All you need to know is just the most basic actions that will get you mind mapping immediately.
So, for both programs, I've identified those key actions so you don't get overloaded. With one program, you learn the 12 basic actions in a 17-minute video.
With the other program, you learn the 11 basic actions in a 20-minute video.
That's all the time it takes to pick up the basics of mind mapping software. Didn't I tell you it was an easy skill to learn?
What's more, if you ever want a refresher on these actions, you can go back and watch the video again - or have a look at the clickable maps that will remind you in seconds about what you need to do.
GUIDE
TO USING MIND MAPPING IN REAL LIFE SITUATIONS: I am sure
there have been times in your life when you've learnt a skill but
then been unsure about how to use it in practice.
Well, that's not going to happen here! In this section, I start you off with a 5-minute quick start video that encourages you to get going and just to get stuck in.
Then you have a choice of 5 different areas with screen videos that give you step-by-step instructions about how you can apply mind mapping to them. These areas are:
-
brainstorming- the video shows how you can use mind mapping for any challenge, problem, issue or task you face
-
developing content
-
to do/task list
-
beating information overload
-
developing projects and products.
I'll be adding additional videos to this list over the next few months, which you will be notified of and get free access to.
Below you can see a full list of what's in the product.

How Mind Mapping Can Help You in Developing
Products, Beating Information
Overload and
Getting Control of Your Life
Let me now tell you in a bit more detail exactly how mind mapping can help you in some important areas of internet marketing business.
1. Developing Products
I have used various mind maps to develop this mind mapping product and, without them, everything would have been much more difficult.
I have developed all the content for the videos in mind maps and then used them in the video presentations. I also used my product development template (which I show you in the product) to remind me of everything I needed to do in terms of sales and marketing and setting up the website.
Mind mapping is great for product development because:
- it allows you to import the templates that you can develop out of your existing knowledge so you're not re-inventing the wheel each time
- it's helps keep you organised. You can see at a glance what you've done and what you still have to do
- as I've explained earlier, producing content in a mind map makes you think about the structure and how everything fits together. In my experience, that makes for much clearer and user-friendly products
- when you have a new idea, you can immediately add it to your mind map and then move it around later so you can put it where it belongs. That means you don't get overwhelmed by new ideas so your brain is much more likely to keep on producing them!
Below you can see the top level of the mind map from the Project Development video that will show you how to use mind mapping for product development, or indeed for developing any project. In the video you'll also see all the sub-levels of the map and the techniques I use to actually develop products.

2. Beating information overload
Information overload is one of the biggest obstacles to taking action. Having too much information from lots of different sources in ebooks, screen videos and 3-ring binders just leads to confusion and overwhelm.
Let me tell you how I use mind mapping to beat information overload. What I do is extract useful information from my information resources and put it into a mind map.
Because I try to use the branches of the map rather than the notes, I need to summarise the information rather than copying it wholesale. So that forces me to be concise, which reduces the possibility of overload.
And because it's all structured in a mind map, I have to be clear about how the information is organised.
In the Beating Information Overload video, I go through:
- what the problem is
- how to use mind mapping to beat information overload
- what the benefits for you are
- a simple step-by-step process that shows you exactly what you need to do to make this technique effective for you
- an example of how I use it.

The example I show in the video is my mind map for telephone interviews. I've distilled the useful information I've collected about doing telephone interviews into the mind map so, when I need to do one, I just follow it step-by-step.
And when I come across some new useful information, I can just add it easily to the map.
Below you can see part of my telephone interviews mind map. In the Beating Information Overload video, I show you all of of it and explain in more detail how I developed it and how I use it.
So you'll be able to see how you will be able to start mining all the useful information from your information products and then using your mind maps to get more done more quickly.

3. Taking control of your life
Unfortunately it's not just information people are overloaded with. It's also tasks.
But the problem is not just the amount of tasks but also keeping control of them.
When you've got a mass of different activities you need to do, recording them all on a piece or several pieces of paper doesn't really work.
You're always crossing items out or moving them to separate categories - and then, after a while, you end up having to re-write your task list because the whole thing looks such a mess!
And those task planner software programs aren't much better.
I tried one once. And it felt so restrictive fitting into the constraints of the software that it was almost as if sometime had tied me up in a straitjacket!
With mind mapping, your task lists and action plans are much more fluid and flexible. You can add new activities quickly and when something changes, for example when you've left a message for someone and you're waiting for them to call you back, it's easy to move that item from the 'Today' category to the 'Waiting' category.
So, it's easy to make sure that nothing slips between the cracks.
What's more the ability to expand and contract your categories means that you can just focus on a particular area at one time - but know that information about all your other activities are just a few clicks away when you want to focus on them.
In the Task List Video, I explain how you can use mind mapping to take control of your life - and show you the type of map I use to organise my activities and also how I use it.

Don't forget also that you can use mind mapping in your personal life:
- mind mapping is great for learning so it's a really useful skill that you could teach your children to help them keep on top of their school or college work
- organising any event is always a complicated matter and it can be so easy to overlook or forget something critical. If you've got a party or a wedding coming up, why not use mind mapping to keep you organised?
- you can also use mind mapping to keep longer-term projects under control like moving house or building an extension.
When Don't I Use Mind Mapping?
As enthusiastic as I am about mind mapping, there are times when mind mappping doesn't quite do the job for me.
Instead there's a different type of software that I turn to. It's got a similar structure to mind mapping software but it also has quite a different user interface.
In the bonus video, I will explain what this type of software is and when you might want to consider using it in preference to mind mapping. I'll also recommend two different programs that you can use (one of which is free).
Product Suitability
All the content is relevant for Windows users.
If you're a Mac user, the free program I recommend is available in Mac OS X. The paid-for program I recommend is also available for Mac. However it may have slightly different features to the Windows version shown in one of the tutorials.
